Spencer is an Alumnus Graduate of Oklahoma City University, in the field of Business Management/Administration. Prior to Transitions, Spencer gained experience in the healthcare industry as a young college undergrad, with several Home Health providers, as the billing/accounts payable director and DME Setup Technician. Learning about workflow of Later in Life or Homestretch healthcare, needs, people challenges, balancing money systems, paying people, etc. Upon graduation from OCU, Spencer was a Computer Assisted Surgery and Specialist, managing accounts in the Midwest representing Medtronic, the world leader in medical technology providing lifelong solutions for people with chronic pain. His business experience also includes several years within the US Army Corps of Engineers Fort Worth Division, as a Program and Project manager. Spencer was awarded the honor of participating in the North Tulsa Economic Development Initiative, or N-TEDI program, sponsored by Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor. Spencer was born at Hillcrest Medical Center and currently a resident of Tulsa Oklahoma.
In his role as President, he is responsible for oversight of the entire operation, to ensure the business runs efficiently, mission statement are sustained, and primarily ethically. From designing the structure of a project, or implementation of new practices, disaster preparedness, Quality and regulatory planning, staff development and retention, strategic planning and execution, you name it, he’s likely a part of the solution or plan around how it works and develops. He sits on the board of directors, involved community education, and increasing access to Palliative Care and the Medicare Hospice Benefit.
